I'm getting some graphics corruption with my 4870 in Supreme Commander. Blocks of colour appear over certain things like the caustic on the water. This is the only game I've played so far as I've just got this new build up and running.

I'm using the hotfix driver from here:

http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=35298

The card is running at around 82c during the game which seems rather hot but these cards run hot anyway don't they? I haven't messed around with any of the settings yet either.

No artifacts appeared on that test, thank god.

EDIT: I restarted the computer and the problem corrected itself. :/ Sorry for the thread.

Everythings okay now although the ATI Overdrive option has now disappeared from the CCC for some reason. I never set any AA in the game and had it switched off.

My idle temps were ~80c. I dunno what it is under load as there's now nothing to view it. Are there any good monitoring programs?

GPU-z is good for monitoring temps. ALso there is a fix that allows you to manually change the speeds of the stock fans(since they stay @ 30%). Mine is at 50% and the noise isn't bad, it took the idle temp to 50c rather than 81c

atitool is good for checking temps + it can log them to a text file if you like, its got a good artifact tester built in aswell.
dunno if it properly suports the new cards though

Cool, I'll check those things out. Will be nice to increase the fan speed a bit as the air being blown out ATM is a bit to hot. Thanks. :)
