4870 - Hardware acceleration?

Hi guys.

I'm wondering if it's possible to force hardware acceleration some how with a 4870 because I'm playing a browser game that only runs in a window, and it's really choppy because it isn't using hardware acceleration.

How could I force it?

Using this beta http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html flash player enables GPU acceleration of flash media when used in conjunction with ATI's latest drivers, it's in beta so could be unstable.

The game doesn't run through Flash though mate, it's Java.

Thanks mate I tried it but it still didn't sort it.

I think I know what the cause is though.

I play the Game through a Client, and not directly from there website.

There website will load a Java applet up and running it from the website is fine, but when I play through the Client, it wont load a Java applet up and it's choppy.

So what I need to do is to somehow force Java, or make Java kick in when I run the Client, but I'm not sure how I'd go about doing it.

Sorry to bump this up again. Is it possible to force Desktop acceleration with something like Rivatuner?

wouldn't it just be easier to then run it through their website, just as it seems to work better than using the client
