Ok I'll get this out of the way.

Bios latest F11 for my Giggabyte p35c-ds3r
chipset drivers latest available.
HIS 4870 8.8cats

Right I play Arma (Hardware hogger)
and COD4 (main game)

I got a 22" tft and at that res my old 8800 gts 320 was starting to struggle

So I though time to upgrade so I got a 4870 as it was better for cod than a 260.

Well heres the problem cod4 is more choppy than it was with my 8800 which was quite smooth.

It starts off fine but then slowly gets choppy so I'm thinkgin heat but my core isnt getting over 64c fan at 31% I have it set to jump to 40% when core hits 70c any one else had choppy game play in cod4.

Arma on the other hand seems ok is it jkust driver issue or heat?

hmm for some strange reason googling about it looks like I have to enable dual card and it should remove this stutter. I will report back incase anyone else gets a similar problem.

Surprisingly there are a quite a few people with similar issues mate. Whilst i seem to have gotten away with it, i would suggest the common problem of crappy ATi Drivers is once again rearing its ugly head.

Looks that way. Tf2 is fine arma is fine just cod4 if setting dual gpu dont fix it I'll ebay it and get a 260 :o
