Just re-assembled my rig (below) and now, upon start, the fans run full blast, no POST and three red LEDs on the 4870.

I seem to remember this being a common issue?

Can somebody please help in any way?

Cheers!

Make sure that all the wiring is connected from/too the PSU properly, when I built mine I had a lose connection somewhere which left me scratching my head for a long time (now I always give em a waggle on a build)

Cheers,

I have narrowed it down to it being a PSU issue, as still no post even with another graphics card.

WIl go and give all connections a run through.

WELL a quick trawl of google says that it could be a dead card, a dead cpu, a dead psu or any combo of above so fingers crossed it whatever is cheapest to replace

D1601 - Red LED On, shows critical temperature fault
D1602 - Red LED On, shows External power connector A was removed
D1603 - Red LED On, shows External power connector B was removed
D601 - Red LED On, shows critical Core power fault

On my GPU, the 3 lights that display are...

D1601
D1602
D1603

Do these all point to one problem?

The PCI-e (2x3pin) connectors are tightly fitted in the GPU.

It may also interest you that I tried a different GPU in my PC (which I know is completely fine because I'm using it now!) and still I get no POST!
