4870 Overclocking Questions

Just got this card as my GTX 280 died (it's filling the gap until 4870 X2) and just wanted to know if theres any OCing software availible that works with it? Rivatuner dont support it yet.

In the ATI CCC i've OC'ed to 790MHz core, 1100MHz memory - highest the sliders will go! all stable.
Is that a good OC? not payed much attention to these cards until now...

your 280 failed? what did you do, give it a bath?

i think you can edit the config files manually and set the clocks to whatever you want...

lacking that i know ATI Tool works on the 4850 on vista 64 ultimate (prob best option)

however i think that memory is rated to run at 4ghz, which would be 1000, if im correct in assuming its 4.4ghz right now i think that may be the limit as some others have said

i had a strange bug with ati tool, and it set my core to 930mhz i thought i destroyed my card

I was talking on MSN one night... and the 280 died. How random is that? the GPU was not being used at all (apart from vista aero) and it just died, in a well cooled case.

Anyway it worked out good, as i bought the card on release for £400 and got a full refund. Now they're as low as £270... but i'm waiting for 4870 X2 anyway.

And i tried ATI tool but it didnt work... does it support Vista 64-Bit?
