4870 Problems help needed

Hi guys i got a system from Overclockers about 2 weeks ago .
titan Vulcan is the PC and the GFX card is
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024Mb
and my monitor is a Samsung SM2494HS 23.6" Widescreen LCD Monitor,
1920x1080

On games and watching Movies i get horizontal lines acoross my monitor does anyone know if i need to change some settings some where ?

Yeah works fine when jsut using web ect ... i think its just when fast moving images are display it brakes up with horizontal lines ...i will submit a querey
