Have gone form a 8800GT to a PowerColor 4780 card, and am having some problems with setting the resolution. In Crysis i cannot select 1920x1200 res the highest is 1680x1050, i noticed tonight when i went from playing crysis back to my desktop that the desktop res had changed from 1920x1200 to 1680x1050, and finally sometimes ill come back to my PC and the screen res will be in 800x600!! Any ideas whats causing these problems and how to fix them?

IIRC there's a setting in the Catalyst centre under Display Options that you need to change. It's something like resolution and you set it to 'Same as desktop'. That will stop it from changing when you move from 2d to 3d and vice-versa.

As for Crysis not allowing higher resolutions, I don't know. Did you properly remove the nVidia drivers with a driver cleaner prior to installing the ATi ones?

There's a little square block in the top-right of the resolution list, its a scrollbar. Use that to scroll through the resolutions to fine 1920x1200.

I found when Crysis crashed (4870), sometimes it would cause the desktop to remain stuck at 800x600. Had to reboot to fix it :\

Ive used the DH Driver Cleaner Pro Ed, prog but its says 'Cleaning Please Wait' but never does anything, is there a better driver cleaner?

Oh yeah, how stupid of me :D. Ive noticed in the Catalyst Control Center i have 2 options that do the same thing but are named differently??...

as you can see from the above pic, theres a 'Digital Panel (DVI) 3' and 'DTV (DVI) 4'. When i click on either of them they both bring up the same options, are both these surpossed to be in the list??

Do you have two displays attached? If not on the next option down "display options" make sure "use manual detection only" is ticked.

Yeah i do, just thought it was strange as you can select both displays from the dropdown 'graphics adaptor' setting in each tab
