4870 tearing?

I have the 8.7 beta drivers, ive got vsync enabled in the catalyst control panel, but im still getting vsync in mass effect and witcher.

Any ideas how to fix?

Is there an option to set vsync from within the games themselves? Sometimes unless you set them from the game is will override the CCC setting.

i think its an issue with the witcher itself, seems that way from googling.

Triple Buffering might fix the tearing. Try D3D Overrider, it comes with Rivatuner, to force it in Directx games.
