4870 to 5830

hi all just wandering if this would be much of an upgrade, as a relative has bought the 5830 but now thinking of selling as he wants a 5870 for eyfinity, he is thinking of selling the 5830 so if it will make much difference i might buy it.

dont go for the 5830. the amount of money your paying for it is absurd comapred to its performance. go for a 5850 and overclock it to 5870 speeds.

hes not mentioned a price yet but it would obviously be cheaper than new and i would then have a 4870 for sale to recoop some more, but then again i do game at high res and do have my eyes set on a 5870 when my redundancy comes through.

I'd only get it if it was a bargain (140/150 max)

Yea...people that still thinking 5830=£190~£200 need to get their info updated. Can find them at £150~£160 if look around.

OcUK is still holding ground on the high prices for 5830 though.

Ahhh that's not too bad then, in that case a 120ish 5830 will be a good deal
