4870 triple display?

I've a 4870 that will be replaced in the next couple of months. I've just bought a third monitor - can I run 3 with this card, or will I have to wait until getting a 6950?

After a quick google, it looks like only the older software methods, and things like TripleHead2Go will work, as the 5xxx cards and later have a hardware implementation to work around Windows. Don't know how true it is, but it seems to be an answer.

Depends if you want to game with it or not.
