I currently run a 4870 512MB, on a 24 inch monitor, it still runs all games great, so if i spent £400 on a 580 will it knock my socks off in awe?

Depends- do you run your games at high resolutions too? and what size of monitor do you have?

Also as the previous poster says what are the rest of your harware like?

Also gotta check if its worth it depending on the games you play

But I know Toontown can be demanding:p

Cpu speed and spec, along with ram and any other info will be of use. :)

I'd suggest further increasing the longevity from your rig by overclocking the cpu. If you can make it around 3ghz, ideally 3.2 +, then I don't think you would get much of a bottleneck if you were to purchase something like a 580 or equivalent card. You shouldn't have to change much at all in the bios to reach the speeds I've mentioned.
