Is there anyway to force the card to use both cores ?

If i play a windowed game, it runs as 2D i think ? lower clock speeds, and lower voltage.
If i swap to fullscreen, it gets more volts, and higher speeds. I think it only uses both cores in fullscreen ?

So my question is, is there anyway to fool it to be in 3d mode all the time ? Or for games that are in windowed mode ?

Thx, im playing with Tray tools now.

I dont want it 3d all the time. Just when im playing windowed games. Unlike my 4870, the X2 doesnt go into 3d mode for windowed games.
So its clock speeds stay at the default 507 / 500 rather than 750 / 900.

By forcing it into 3d mode, im getting the proper clock speeds and performance.

Ive made some profiles in Tray tools, struggling with fans control though. Speeds up fine when it goes into 3d. But after 3d ends, it wont slow down. Ive tried savign it as a set % but it still reverts to temp dependant, which is very noisey.

Thanks for the help.

I've found that most tools that monitor 3D usage and adjust speeds don't work very well. Probably just as well to use the catalyst control centre "Overdrive" features to set fan/gpu speed as and when you need it. Though I could be wrong?

I have exactly this problem with a windowed game; Cant seem to get it to kick into 3d mode :/. My selection of tools are limited by running Vista x64 too.
