4870 X2 coolers

Anyone have any ideas when they are planning on releasing air coolers for the 4870 X2? I know there are a few water cooling options but even they are starting to get scarce I believe.

I heard that Arctic Cooling are doing their version but so far its only showing as being released in the US/Canada. If anyone has any news on where and when and who will be releasing them please let me know as I want to get rid of the stock cooler on my XFX 4870 X2. Much appreciated.

The Arctic Cooling cooler is out at the end of March for us (apparently).

I'm certainly waiting patiently for it

The Arctic Cooling model is the only aftermarket air cooling solution available for the X2, and probably will be the only one ever released.

Sapphire are to release there TOXIC cooler design onto the 4870x2 shortly.

will be similar to the 4850x2.

Thanks chaps...I thought maybe Arctic would be the only company doing their version...I will keep an eye out for Sapphire's as well so I can compare the two...

Hey everyone,
I've just purchased a Sapphire 4850 X2 2GB for my new rig, and I've read that it is a lot cooler than the 4870 X2. Is this correct? Quiet computing is a must for me, so I will see how loud my new card is when I install it. Cheers, Chris.

Stock coolers on ATI cards aren't the quietist things in the world but you do have a range of fan controls with tools like Rivatuner etc.

The stock cooler on the single 4850 wasn't great but they do seem to be a bit meatier on the 4850 x2. I think it'll have to be a case of suck it and see.
