4870X2 and weird cod4 issue

Basically when i'm playing cod4 the gameplay micro stutters from 91fps (capped) down to about 80fps. It shouldn't be noticable, but you can see it stuttering when I see the drop in fps.

I also get the buzzing noise with this card (I've heard its quite common), but the weird thing is the buzzing ties in with when the stuttering happens e.g. it'll stop a moment and then continue buzzing slightly.

I don't have any other stuttering issues in any other games or see any odd fps drops as I have in cod 4. I've tried BFBC 2, css, tf2, empire total war and they all run very well indeed albeit apart from the slight buzzing noise.

Any ideas people?

My psu is a 7 month old Corsair TX 750w and I'm using cat 10.6 drivers with the latest xfire 10.6 profiles

Try 10.4 10.6 drivers are pants i run 10.4 and i have no issues like stated altho i do get the hiss sound now and again all it is a noisey cap.

Not sure if this will help you but this game stutters for me unless I turn dual cards on in the options.

Just tried the 10.4s and I'm still having the same issue. Also got dual cards selected in the options. Any other ideas ppl?
