4870X2 Clock Speeds

Slightly worried at the moment. In CCC ATI Overdrive I have my sliders set to the stock 750/900 for GPU/Memory. However, under the Current Values section it says I am running at 507/500, even GPU-Z is stating this for both cores. It also seems to be running incredibly cool compare to what it used to be, at around 40C now, compared to 85C last week.

Any suggestions?

Current values is right in the CCC as thats the 2D speeds.

1 restart later and its 750/500.

If I fire up Crysis or FC2 should that kick it into 3d mode and up the clocks ?

Ah yes, the second I start up FC2 it rockets up the clocks.

Panic over! I feel a tad silly now having never noticed thta before

Yeah when you open the CCC it must use 3D mode for a second or so, as you see the 3D speeds in there (current values), and the activity dial showing the cards doing something, thats if you have it opening on the Overdrive.

Its caught me out a few times that, as sometimes i forget, so when i open the CCC i see the 3D speeds for a second or so, then it drops to the 2D speeds and im like wtf is going on here, then i realise.
