Hi,

Received this card about 2 days ago and I'm experiencing problems with it. Desperately need help solving it (hopefully..)

Shortly after my system is boots into Windows slight flickering starts appearing on the desktop. It starts off light but then gradually it becomes very noticeable on text. Kind of a static type effect.

I have tried the newer drivers and they make no difference at all really. I did experience a clash of drivers on my first install which resulted in a blank screen and a BSOD, so I ended up just reinstalling vista again.

I currently have the 8.10 (hotfix) drivers.

The only game I have tried so far is Far Cry 2. The game will not run at all with dx10 enabled as it just crashes to desktop the moment I enable it in the menu. Same applies to AA...

Now I just recently realized that I had been using an nvidia vga adapter (from my previous card) for the X2. I'm not sure if that could be causing the flickering? I have now replaced it with the adapter that came with it and I'm waiting to see the results (flickering usually takes a while to start).

So what do you think? Could the adapter have been the issue?

Thanks for any feedback.

The problem described in that thread is similar to mine but not exactly the same. I experience the flickering mostly in windows. It's not very noticeable at all in games. And in fact it would be less noticeable on a dark screen.

What I need to know though is, can using a vga adapter from a separate card cause issues like this?
