I noticed in GPUZ my idle clock speeds are different on each core. On first core I get 507/500 and on the second I get 500/900 . They both run fine in games both go up to usual 750/900 , when I load a game at the very start I would get a quick stutter would these different clocks be causing this ?...

The quick stutter will be when changing from 2d clock to 3d.Ive just looked at my gpu-z0.3.4 and under senors i can only see speed for gpu clock 507 mhz and memory 950 mhz i cant see different clocks for different cores.Under the graphics card page it just says gpu clock 750 mhz and default clock 750 below that.

In GPUZ under sensor you can change the core where is says 4870x2 at the bottom there will be 2 of them and u can select the second core. I forgot to add that this is a SAPPHIRE card I have. Cheers for your quick response

Ok thanks seems mine is not right then with 2 completely different ones if anyone with a SAPPHIRE card can help please thanks.

Yes it seems strange your card would run 2 different core speeds.Im sure a few more members here will check their cards and report back to you.

You could make a profile in CCC and set the clock speeds manually (google). I have my idle clocks at 300/300 (lowest they will go) and I get lower temps and and lower power draw.

I tried the profile but it just would not work so I just put rivatuner on and its doing the job thanks for your replies all ..
