Does anyone have any information when this is going to come into play, ATi have taken $100 off to RRP, just wondering how long the knock on effect would be?!

Cheers

Some companies will continue to charge inflated prices for as long as they can get away with it. There is no honour when it comes to making a pound or two.:(

All it takes is 1 company to take the initiative and drop the price, the rest will scurry to follow in a bid not to lose business lol.

Cmon OcUK, we know your the best !!!

Well I won't be building a new box until the prices do drop, and as I've waited this long I'm sure as hell going to sit it out now. There seems to be no apparent reason as to why UK retailers are keeping the prices of PC components artificially high other than pure greed. I sometimes wonder if there's a cartel in operation.

Most stuff around this price usually has a £40 markup hardly new, however makes the Phenom II 940 seem like a great offer it the same price here as newegg and that has no sales tax on included.

amen.

Yeah but the pound has lost 30% of it's value against the dollar in the last 4 months or so. A $400 Graphics Card used to translate to £200 in a straight conversion. Now it translates to £285.

Unless the UK economy sorts itself out imports will stay expensive.
