what is a 4870x2 like compared to a nvidia 295gtx

The 295 is also behind the 275 so think you should use a different soucre really.

Performance in general with the GTX 295 is around 5-10% faster than the 4870x2.

295GTX is quite a bit faster than the 4870 in overall cases - however its still not worth the money over the 4870 for the difference in performance.

In some games the 295gtx wipes the floor with the X2 though since the X2 gets such high frame rates anyway I doubt you'd notice the difference between 150 and 200 fps.

295 is faster than a 4870x2 however, the 4870x2 is a much better(cheaper) buy and is not that much behind the 295.
