4870x2 which is GPU 0 ?

Wondered if you kind people can help. Just been searching for about 30 minutes on this apparently simple question.

When you look at the card which is GPU 0 and which is GPU 1.

One would assume that GPU 0 is the one nearest the DVI ports ?

Think you can tell by the temps, think cooler one is nearer the fan, hotter near the back vent.

Not necessarily - GPU 0 is the primary GPU so it should heat up more than GPU 1. I'm not sure really.
