4890 ... crossfire...

Just wondering, i was origionally planning on getting a 4870 x2, however after the release of the 4890 ... i decided on that.

... and this card has had such an inpact on my gaming, that im considering crossfire...

Is it worth it though? will I have a significant, or small gain from crossfire?

Depends on the games, but most of the new ones get an enormous boost. Sometimes a full 100%!

As above poster said depends on the games, but also depends on your Resolution.

Crossfire is not necessary IMO, on anything below 24" screen. Just my opinion.

im currently gaming at 1680 x 1050 atm,
i play all sorts of games from supcom and x3-terran conflict to COD4+5 and TF2

Crossfire wont do a thing for you at those resolutions.

na, no point, full HD res on a 24 inch screen at least.

spend the money on a 24", the 4890 u have should still handle that fine, and u can go xfire or next gen in a couple months when price drop/new release

I agree, go single, then add another when the price has dropped if you need extra performance
