4890 in crossfire or 5770 in crossfire

I think 4890s but if you want dx11 i would go with 5770 plus i think i read in a review that in crossfire they ant to bad.

well i just got one 5770, but from the benchmarks ive seen i will be getting another if the mood takes me lol

i am thinking about getting a 4890 and possibily adding another one in a few months

+1
My mobo is not crossfire so adding card #2 will cost a bit, so will wait will next year. The 4890 offers more power now, and who knows - the 5850 or subsequent cards may be a lot cheaper than another card and mobo change.

cjph

2x 5770's, be mad to buy 2x dearer old tech cards now imo, and the 5770's aren't that much slower, and will only improve when they start getting drivers, as they have none yet.

This.

Also I know not everyone cares about power usage, but the 5770s are significantly more energy efficient.

If you are not worried about dx11 then get the 4890 but to be honest 5770 are not a lot slower and like Loads said they have not got any drivers yet and they will get more out of them i am sure,i would get the 5770 so if and when dx11 games comes out they will run it in dx11 as i would keep them for quite a while myself.
