Right, I think I have reached my max on the Asus 4890

GPU: 940 Mhz
Memory: 4520 Mhz (1130x4)

This is with no voltage changes.

Post your clocks for comparison :)

Here's my stable:

(Sorry I'm an 8800gt user) :p

GPU: 900
Memory: 1150

I think my memory could go up to 1200, but for whatever reason the GPU won't go higher than 900 even if I increase volts.

Out of interest what temps are you getting?

Edit - Should have said its an XFX.

Firstly - I laughed quite loudly
Secondly - I KNEW SOMEONE WOULD DO THIS!!!

James:

I am getting the following temperatures

Card 1 - 45C Idle (50% Fan Speed)
Card 2 - 42-43C Idle (50% Fan Speed)

Under load around 65C maximum with 40/50% Fan - Occasionally hitting 70

*edit* Also about to benchmark Vantage, will post results here :D (if I don't crash out)

Ahh you got crossfire?

Mine is running at around 45-48° idle (40% fan speed). Can't remember load, but think its high 60's.

I didn't get a crossfire motherboard in the end as I thought buying 2 cards would cost silly money. Since then the 4890 especially has plummeted in price and 2 are now easily affordable. Never mind! :)

Apart from Crysis I've been able to max everything at 1900 x 1200 no problem

Nice Willy (that sounds wrong)

What cards are you running... make, stock cooling, stock vcore?

Final Benchmarks for me:

925Mhz
1100Mhz

Temps - CPU 60C max - GPU 60C max

Stable - Last one conked out on vantage so I dropped clocks a bit and reran, probably some headroom left.

3Dmarkvantage

Overclocked - 19109 (18666 GPU / 20574 CPU)
Overclocked CPU (3Ghz) / Stock GPU - 17160 (16687 GPU / 18752 CPU)
Stock (CPU/GPU/MEM) -17000

I bet you those people that have ultered there XFX or what ever bios to BE clocks havent run FURMARK Xtreme Stability test at 1920x1200 and survived more than 20 minutes.

Im still fiddleing lol

but currently at stock voltages in Xfire 930/1100

Whats the core voltage on the black edition? If I remmeber correctly the Atomic edition was using 1.4v or something. At that voltage only some unbinned reference cards would handle 1ghz.

edit: apparently the black edition uses 1.4375v. I guess they don't have to bin their cards as well as Sapphire and also increases the chances of standard voltage/clock XFX cards working with BE bios. (unless BE isnt a reference components card?)

950MHz stock voltage...1000mhz 1.375V. I can bench at 1030MHz 1.425V but more voltage doesn't really get me higher. 1020-1050 seems to be the wall for these GPUs unless you go with crazy cooling.

Memory is at 4600MHz.

Watercooled, aircooled VRM and ram.

I'm now stable at

1000Mhz Core
4400Mhz Memory (1100 x 4)
1.4V

Load Temps:
65-70C Core
79C Memory
Fan Speed 100%

My core isn't stable running FurMark at anything much over 900mhz even if I bump the voltage right up to 1.4v. Memory isn't a problem, this clocked to 1150mhz even with standard volts.

Temperatures are 45-48° idle at 40% fan speed, and roughly 65-70° load.

Am I just unlucky that my core doesn't clock well, or am I missing something?

Thanks
