49” 4K living room

Looking to upgrade my 43” FHD tv with a 49” 4K unit.
The reviews for the Sony KD49XF9005 look great but looks like it’s been discontinued
Budget of 1k ideally.
Any other suggestions?

It has a true 10bit panel the 55" and up, the 49" versions only have 8bit+2bit FRC. Same with the 49" XF9005 and XG9005 and the XG is £1099 which is silly and same TV as the XF9 49" before it and only a new remote.
The 55" won't be much bigger physically than a old style FHD TV with big chassis and large frames, but more viewing screen space. Check your measurements for the area you want to place it with the specs page, it list the dimensions.
