Hi Ian

I've just installed my new 4960x and moved my kit over into a 900D, i have a 480 and 360 rad and a 295X2 with full waterblock

I can use the PC fine at 4.5Ghz (100x45) and even pass OCCT linpack for a few hours, but less then 10 mins after starting prime 95 or normal OCCT i get a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR which i assume is vcore related?

My vcore is set to 1.26, and temps with fans on mid, hit 70 degrees when stressing the CPU

Any suggestions?

Also, i tried some settings you kindly provided ages ago for Samsung Green RAM, but i can't get my system to post at 2400mhz, and had hoped the improved IMC might have made things easier

cheers for any advise you might be able to give

Ian will tell you not to use Prime and he'd be right. Prime is only good if you're using the PC for those set of instructions. The load it places on the CPU doesn't really imitate anything you are likely to be using the machine for. The CPU isn't really even designed for that type of torture.

ASUS Realbench is designed for the end user more than most to stress key components. I would suggest using this, and just using the machine as you would day to day. Just as equally as not passing, your CPU may be Prime stable but not stable in tasks that address different instructions.
