Morning folks,

In the market for a 4G router.

Anyone got any recommendations for something under £200 mark?

Dual sim with failover would be ideal...

Cheers,
Roy

I have a Zyxel LTE4506 and a Huawei that I can't remember the name of.

Neither are dual SIM. The Zyxel is a neat little thing, compact and easy to use. It does not, however, have any SMA or other connector for an external aerial. I can receive twice the bandwidth on the Huawei by adding an external antenna and running a couple of lengths of cable down to the router. Worth bearing in mind depending on reception where your desired router location is.

I chose both for one particular feature which was that they have ethernet ports. Basic mi-fi type routers don't have this and it is harder to integrate the devices into your wider network if that's something you need to consider. For me I have these two routers with different providers SiMs and a fibre provider's router all in front of a pfSense box which does the load balancing and policy based routing between them.
