Has anybody done this themselves? If so, which router and SIM provider?
I've just tried this with EE, USB tethered via my android phone to my ASUS RT-N66U but was not able to load any webpages without using a VPN and it was *very* slow, almost as if EE don't allow multi-device tethering and apply incredible throttling.
I regularly USB tether the same phone/SIM to my PC though with no issues and can reach 80Mbps up / 30Mbps down.
I've not yet tried setting my phone up as WiFi Hotspot and then using the router as a repeater though, I'll try that shortly, but just after solutions that others have found.
