4gb crash

or your motherboard's memory controller hub is struggling with the extra load and you need to provide it with a little extra voltage to compensate

This is quite common reason...first, increase vdimm then if that doesn't work try a bit more voltage on northbridge, if I remember correctly Microsoft released a Vista Update for problems that arise from running 4GBs of ram ...:)

Reaper Ram = 2.0-2.2V for PC-6400, 2.3-2.35V for PC-8500

I would be very hesitant to run reaper PC2-6400 at 2.2 or above... I might have just got unlucky but my first set died very quickly at 2.2 even tho its rated for that... running 2.1 now and everything seems fine.

Just had the same problem here, popped an extra 2x1gig in to make 4gig total and booted up to memtest and few minutes later screen full of errors - upped the NB +.1v and so far its got a lot further into memtest without any errors so fingers crossed... takes awhile to memtest 4gigs tho heh.

i think i have sorted it put the memory voltage to 2.1 and icreased the northbridge voltage a few point of a volt memory test passed and no crash as yet cheers for the advise
