An upgrade to 8gb (Gb .. gB .. GB .. gb??) should do you just fine, going OTT with 16gb will sort of force you to keep your system for longer as at that point where 16gb is necessary DDR4 will be more mainstream.

Just done a cheap upgrade from 6GB to 8GB ... not much but a better "buffer" for my older system, before the new one later this year.

Just get 16Gb and you won't have to think about ram again for many years

16Gb = 2GB

2GB definitely isn't enough.
