4GB G-Skill RAM problem

On Vista my RAM has always been rated at 5.9, I just retested it and now it's saying 5.6? :confused:

Ignore the Vista rating. Your settings are fine.

Should the freqrency not be higher than that? I thought it was meant to be 800mhz:

No it is correct, it is DDR2 RAM so 400 x 2 is 800MHz

Any reason why Vista might suddenly downgrade its rating then?

microsoft have built vista with an automatic "report a problem"

it just states that your hardware is not working, even when it is, so that you are forced to go out and buy more hardware. They can then stitch you with the "you have upgraded too many times and need re purchase vista"

Ok I made that all up, bu tI for one woudl not be in the slightest bit surprised

and the same thing has happened on my cpu by the way, it started as a 5.2 now its down to a 5.0
