4GB RAM 2.5GB Useable

Just put an old PC together for my sister, installed WIN7 64

Only says 2.5GB in the BIOS too is there a setting in the BIOS that needs changing or something?

Some of the ram is being shared with on board graphics I imagine

couple of things i can think of :

1) is there a setting in the bios for "maximum memory", might need to be set to no
2) check the website for a bios update for the mobo.

Just had a good look through the bios and can't see anything that would be related to the memory.

Will see if there is a new BIOS when windows has finished downloading updates.

Edit: Seems there might be a bios update to fix the problem, I will report back when it's done.
