While played with computer hardware and stuff for years, like many people I have not got a "proper" camera and only been using the crappy phone camera...until now. I've bought the BenQ DC C1230 on OcUK's offer for £19.99, as I thought it would be a "good starting point" for moving away from the phone camera for a novice such as myself :p

Now...I'm not too familiar with the class rating for the SDHC cards...but from what I read I worked out that the higher the class (bigger in number) the better. But what I would like to know if I'm only taking photo but not video, would a 4GB class 4 SDHC card be good enough?

Cheers.

Yes. Although if you intend getting a better camera it may be better to try and get a faster card now. - depends on cost difference and likelihood of upgrade

Just dont be expecting this camera to take wonder shots etc You will get what you have paid for.

It's more than enough. The only difference between each classes are the speed it runs. Class 4 would run at around 40mb/s. For photos this won't really matter.

Yea I know...as long as it is noticably better than the phone cameras I'd be happy :)

I think I'd just get a 4GB SDHC class 4 for now considering I would most likely not upgrade for a while...I'd just get a better card if there's a need when I upgrade in the future.
