4GB upgrade

atm i hav 2x1gb kingstonm hyperx 1150mhz i wanted to upgrade to 4GB

do i buy 2x2gb sticks or 2 more 1xgb sticks?

another 2*1GB will be cheaper, but run slightly slower - although I doubt if you'd notice. It may affect your overclock though, if you have any, you may also need to bump volts.

you may need to set <edit>vDimm</edit> to 2.1v or thereabouts, bump MCH by a notch or two? testing will determine.

4*1GB will run at 2T, 2*2GB at 1T - I doubt if the performance difference would be noticeable in real-life apps.
