4gig Enough these days?

Is 4 gig enough these days or should one be looking at 8gig?

For general use and gaming 4 gig is more than enough for a while yet.

unless your using some intense apps 4gb is enough

My current system below runs gaming/surfing/video/audio fine. The only problem I have is when I start running 3-4 VMs lol

My next upgrade will probably have 6gb due to triple channel ddr3

with photoshoop, word, power point, 20 tabs and various stuff open, i use around 3gb, 4gb is ok id assume.

As above, it really depends what you will be doing, 1gb is more than enough for web browsing, obviously the more programs and more intensive rograms you run the more ram you will need.

I am awaiting delivery of new 2x4GB.
4GB is not enough for me sometimes....but I tend to scan negatives in silly resolutions ...
so 4gb is still enough for a gamer etc

4gb is easily enough for most people unless you need something seriously memory intensive. One of my RAM modules is faulty so im only on 2GB at the moment and even that seems to be ok
