4GIG FX-57

I've read about you at XtremeSystems.

Take off that IHS, i'm sure that'll get you some extra juice out of it however small it is :) But every mhz past the 4ghz mark counts :)

Cheers guys yeah its using my cascade cooler I would pop the IHS but this is my everyday cpu and I am poor I cant afford another cpu thats why I dont want to pop it :(

*says the guy running an fx-57 cascade system*

:p

What volts is that with? - and that prob is a world record for a cpu with its ihs still on as all people pushing them will have removed the ihs to get that extra degree cooler

do you reckon running less ram might get you a bit higher?

every major/WR overclock I've seen has been with 2 x 256 or similar..

Having said that going from 2gb to 2 x 256 didn't get me any further with my 3800.

Yes, but generally you are beyond help :D.

It does indeed make sense  to get some say 2x256MB BH5 or similar to clock with - cheap and relieves some strain on the memory controller. And don't pop it if you don't want to! :D.

Hmmm I may try with less ram dont know if I will have a chance today but may do :) and the cascade looks like this

just use a single stick of ram, cpu doesnt have to bother with dual channel then
