Hi all,
I currently use a 4k 32" Thinkvision something or other as my main monitor for gaming as whilst I got it via work with inbuilt usbc power delivery for docking my work laptop etc due to space I have a single work/home desk setup.
However now I've upgraded my main PC and have been playing Ghost of Tsushima and have Outlaws on the to play list I'm wondering about getting something a bit 'nicer' for games (OLED/higher refresh rate), and so wondered if the more budget end of 4k/32" OLED monitors are worth looking at? (I can see some available for £5-600 for example whilst others are approaching £1000+)
Not sure where my desk setup will be when we move house in the coming weeks but it probably won't be a dark room most of the time so not sure how much of a factor that is regarding OLED screens.

Thinking 4k and 32" to match existing monitor/it's what I've got used to as it will also be used for work/general use not purely gaming.

Cheers

My PG32UCDM (32" 4K 240Hz QD-Oled) does well in a bright room. Sure, when it's off I can see the purple, but when in use it disappears completely.
I think the whole "you can't use QD in a bright room" thing is overhyped. Glossy is glossy though so beware of bright lights directly behind you. Also, they're a btch to clean. Honestly I'd go W-Oled if I had a do-over.

They're usually ~£1000 but I got mine for £600 on a deal like this.

Only thing that was "B-grade" about mine was the fact that it had 3 hours on the clock.

Good to hear about QDOLED in a bright room as I have heard mixed responses between it not being that bad and totally unusable. I was leaning towards matte vs glossy to try and reduce the chances of things causing issues.
Yeah I'm always happy to look at 2nd hand etc so will have a looksie.
