I’m looking at outputting from my pc to a TV. Total span is about 12m so guessing a 15m cable is what I’ll need. It’s displaying to a 4k screen at 60hz but it is only hdmi 2.0 input. Pc output is a 4080 suprim so hdmi 2.1

I just need clarity. Plenty of places say hdmi is good for that distance, others say an active cable is needed.

What solution would you guys suggest for this? Would a DP to hdmi make any difference?

Figure it seemed pretty hit and miss. Thought id move the pc for the meantime as I’m not really using in my office atm anyway.

For some reason a hdmi cable that output at 5120x1440 at 60hz isn’t outputting at 4k@60hz on my tv. Even the 1440p isn’t showing 60hz available only 30hz. I’m not 100% certain it’s a 2.0 cable but surely it must be if it can do 60hz at 5120x1440?
