Hi all

I've started planning a 4k upgrade for my current rig and could really use some help. I use it for a combination of gaming, serious photo editing (Photoshop, Lightroom and DXO) and blu-rays/netflix.

Current specs are in my rig, but I'd be looking at adding a 30 bit 4K display and a USB UHD blu ray drive (the Pioneer one).

The problems I'm running into are:
  • you can only play UHD blu-ray with an SGX protected GPU and HDMI 2.0a (which seems to rule out everything except a limited number of mobos with an Intel IGP); and
  • you need a Quadro/Firepro to unlock 30 bit in adobe.
I'm not wedded to AMD by any stretch of the imagination (I have a love/hate relationship with my x370 Taichi), so I'd be open to going to Intel to get around the SGX issue.

Can anyone confirm whether I would be able to run multiple GPUs in the same rig? I was thinking about having 3 gpus - an 1180 for gaming, an entry level quadro for photoshop (with the 1180 providing the CUDA muscle) and Intel IGP for video, all coonecting to the same monitor. Would this work or would the presnece of other GPUs break UHD playback? I suppose I could manually disable the PCIE gpus in the bios, but that seems like more trouble than it's worth.

I tried contacting PowerDVD about this but they more or less said the ball was in Nvidia's court...

Thanks!
