I just got done watching the video linked above and it got me thinking....is there any point upgrading my [email protected] if i plan to take the jump to 4k?
So I'm going to be buying the 1080 ti with a 4k 60hz monitor and i was curious will my CPU be fine @4k for the most part?
I'm not that tech savi so maybe you guys could clarify something I've been wondering...
So let's say I'm playing a mmo in a populated area and my max fps is 30@1080p due to my CPU being stressed. Now in that exact same scenario at 4k would my max fps remain at 30 due to my CPU being stressed? Does moving to 4k add extra stress to the CPU for gaming or just the GPU?
I could upgrade my cpu, mobo and ram to the latest Intel processor but i have a hard time buying a refresh of a refresh of a refresh so I'm planning to upgrade my CPU when intel moves to 10nm.
