4k gaming rig

What kind of rig/price could I expect to pay for a a baseline 4k gaming rig? Lets me play/edit videos in 4k, game in 4k, etc. Assuming I need a monitor and tower and everything except SSDs/storage, M&K etc

X99 system with 16 GB RAM and a Nvidia GTX 1080. Choose your CPU from the 5820 upwards as budget permits.

And how much desk space do you have? Would you be looking at a 28" 4K monitor or a 40" 4K?

It's a "how long is a piece of string" kind of question.

You could game and edit videos in 4K on a bog-standard office PC, depending on the game and how long you're willing to wait for the videos to render.

On the other end of the scale you could easily spend £10k and get something top of the range (dozens of cores, several beefy GPUs, etc.).

Depends on your gaming demands and patience. (Always is tbh, nothing special about 4K.)
