4K Gaming worth it ?

Looking to maybe upgrade the tv in the new year and if I do I know I'll want a ps4 pro or Xbox one x, already own a ps4 switch and pc (playing at 1440p)
Atm ps4 is gathering dust , pc is just a rainbow 6 machine and mainly playing switch as the games are just unbelievable, just wondering if it's worth the upgrade from the ps4 and how good do the games look ?

If you already have a PS4 then I'd get an XB1X, gives you access to some exclusives and it's also more powerful and much quieter.

4K is a nice bump but you need either a huge TV or to sit very close for it to make a big difference. The smoother performance is noticeable all of the time though.

As to whether it's worth it, depends how much cash you have and whether you care about games looking nicer, no one can make that call for you

Really pleased with my XB1X. For the money I think it’s fantastic. Playing Wolfenstein at the moment and the graphics on my 4K TV are incredible.

Even through the resolution is dynamic it’s all but impossible to tell.

I do sit quite close to the tv
