4k gaming..

Agreed, a single card is the best option, however, to say Nvidia is dropping SLI support doesn't match my experience, I'm finding it works far better than my previous SLI setups and support in newly released games seems strong.

It's still imo a good solution if you want a big performance boost.

As long as you don't want to play BF1 :(

Is it borked again? - last played it just before Christmas and it ran brilliantly @ ultra,4k (it would be a stutter fest at that resolution without SLI) on my rig...?

Yep! It's now a stutter nightmare with SLI and completely smooth with just one card.

My 34" super wide monitor is on its way out. Kinda deciding whether to go with another one or try a 43" 4k monitor. Hard to decide really as I love the super wide monitor but I don't know if having a big 4k monitor will be too demanding and I may miss the super wide estate. Anyone play RTS games on a big 4k monitor?

What screen are you using this? When you say 4 separate monitors, do you mean displaying 4 inputs at once?
yes and no... , but more NO ;) having 4 'seperate windows' showing 4 charts/or video or general browsing but effectively giving me a 4 screen setup on the one 40" 4k tv... the resolution allowing me to have genuinely usable sized windows without having to click about and swap browsers etc. mainly for trading but ability to leave one for general browsing etc... gaming would ideally be fullscreen and 4k or otherwise,
