4k hardware?

Eyo,

wanna know what kind of hardware I would need to actually run a game in 4k resolution, I don't know if this question has been answered and some pro member is gonna be like "duh, are you seriously asking?".

And then on the other hand might there be better solutions for 4K movie watching?

Depends what FPS you will just about manage 30FPS with a R9 290X or 780Ti. Still early days

Okay but does that mean if I had 3 780ti´s I would do 90FPS, or do I misunderstand the concept of FPS?

Why do you want 4k out of interest?
I wanted 4k for months and started building a rig for 4k (see sig) but got totally converted over to the new LG super wide screen.

Well I guess I have not really thought about it that much, more likely will just ask around a bit and it might happen that I do not go 4K after all, because of the fact that it seems that the hardware costs are too great.

I'm an unemployed student at the age of 22 so chances of me getting the money to actually buy a 4K monitor are slim.

I got the hardware to run a 4k monitor, but im choosing the LG monitor over it, so take that what you will
