I want my next big upgrade to be for 4K, i'm reading around and so far i gather you need a display port to get 60hz and that most graphics cards will do that. The thing holding me back is that there doesn't seem to be any TVs that have a display port. I use my TV for everything so no separate monitor.

Aside from one panasonic model there are no 4K TVs AFAIK that you can drive at 60Hz properly from a PC - the adaptors don't currently exist either for swapping between DP and HDMI while keeping the ability to drive a 4K display.

nVidia does have something in the works (as linked above) if your mostly using it for movies, but its not really suited to general use, even for gaming it can look kind of bad in some cases though some games work better with it than others.

Can't say I'd recommend rushing to 4K yet the early SST displays seem to have some teething issues of one sort or another.

^^ There are no adaptors currently that support 4K over DP 1.2>HDMI 2.0 and last I heard no plans to make them either, your waiting on HDMI 2.0 support on the GPU which could be awhile yet. (You will get HDMI 1.4 or lower presented at the HDMI end even if the cable supposedly supports the full standard).

You need a TV with DP1.2 60Hz support and last time I checked there was only 1 very expensive panasonic model that has extremely limited availability.
