Hi guys,

I've just joined and need help on deciding which monitor is the best of the best which I can get for under £1300-£1400 max, the less expensive the better. I'm looking at monitors between 27"-34".

Not sure if ultrawide monitors are any good to me as I'm not a gamer, neither do I do any type of editing apart from the odd photo maybe..... Plus I like watching youtube and iplayer etc and 21:9 is not available as far as I know.

Most of my usage includes browsing the internet, watch youtube, and productivity work such as Word/Excel/Paint.

At the moment I have an 8 year old monitor which has a gloss hard housing over the panel, I really like the sleek look and its easy to clean as well, unfortunatley I cant find any like this apart from a couple Acer ones which I dont really like.

I want to connect my PC and Panasonic DMR-BWT850EB to the monitor so I can watch TV plus my CCTV camera system to the monitor and would like to be able to switch to any, at anytime.

Ideally I would like the best of the best in terms of clarity/refresh rate/ connections etc.

Some I have been looking at are:-

- ASUS PA329Q 32" 4K Ultra HD LED IPS Monitor
- ASUS PB287Q 28" 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor
- HP Envy 27s 4K Ultra HD 27" LED Monitor
- Samsung U32E850R

Do you guys know of any others?
Which would you recommend ....?? And Why ??
Pro's / Con's ????

Thanks for the help! :D

Would be great if I had the space or a wall to mount it on, monitor is going on a desk under a slopping attick roof! :(

Plus to be sitting infront of a 40" around 2-3ft away can't be good for the eyes!

BTW I will be using an Nvidia graphics card so freesync is pointless, not that i'm going to be playing games anyway!

Typically freesync is for gaming, standard 60hz for windows is fine, although moving boxes around will be smoother on a >60hz monitor.

If you're looking at a 27" monitor I'd be looking into a 1440p screen.

Would more Hz come in handy when watching 4k vidio content on the DMR-BWT850EB or the net?

I would ideally like a big monitor but due to space restrictions only can fit up to a 34" maybe 37" max....

Just seen this from 32" from LG....looks pretty good.....

I have been trying to find a vidio on the net for how 4k on 32" looks but cant find anything..... if anyone has one could you please post some screenshots or something, like of the desktop icons, word typing etc....
