Can anyone point me in the right direction. Looking at a 4k monitor for simple straightforward stuff - not into gaming. Running Win10 x64 so it should power at 2160 60mhz. All I'm after is a crisper display.

Read various reports about things always defaulting to 30mhz and needing to be reset so need to avoid that.

My rig is a Shuttle Cube so the size is limited to a card max size of 267x98x34mm. Plus the power supply is 300w although there is an upgrade to 500w available if necessary.

Any input appreciated as the advice seems to be chalk and cheese from 'don't bother - not worth it' to 'go for it'.

Thanks for replying.

Obviously as cost effective as possible. The EVGA GeForce GTX950 SC was mentioned as a mid-range card but cannot find the specs - size, etc and would it actually work?

I've never had that happen.
You're going to be pretty limited with your PSU, so will need to upgrade to 500W. Most of the 970/980 Nvidia cards require 500W so maybe take a look at AMD (I know nothing about those).
