can anyone suggest a decent 4K monitor that I could pair with my PS4 pro? I would like the monitor to support HDR too. My budget is between £300-£450 maximum really.
i just bought the BenQ EW3270U 32inch ultra HD monitor with HDR, you can pick them up for £399 , all i can say is its amazing, im using mine on my pc , but ive seen plenty of youtube videos where people have hooked it upto there console
That's only pixel response time, which affects ghosting. You still have to factor in input lag, and when you do, many monitors are as high/higher than the quick TVs.
All that is irrelevant anyway, because you're playing on a PS4 with a wireless controller, so if you're not noticing latency there, you're not going to notice a few ms.
Honestly for 4K gaming, get a TV.
Just because it supports HDR, it doesn't mean it does it well. Lack of VA panels in the monitor market means you're often stuck with <1000 contrast ratios (even less for the 1ms TN based panels). Monitors genuinely suck for HDR (other than the newer 2K ones).
Does anyone else have any recommendations as to what I should do now I’m torn between getting one of the above 4K hdr monitors or should I be looking at getting a 4K hdr tv. Any advice appreciated thanks
