Hi,

I currently have a 1080p 240Hz Monitor that I use for everything, but the internet looks bad and I was wondering if it was possible to buy a second 60Hz 4K monitor and use that for surfing etc, and when i wanted to play a game, play it from my 1080p Monitor?

Now whilst I'm gaming, I would like the use of the 4K monitor for the odd time i don't clutch it [!] but when I am not gaming, I want the monitor off.

Possible or nonsense? I'm worried about the resolutions obviously and also the different refresh rates.

Thanks !!

Not a problem at all. Windows supports mukltiple monitors. I'm typing this on a 4K Dell Ultrasharp monitor in portrait mode. When you have multiple monitors, Windows asks you to designate one as a primary monitor and uses that for games. (Some games can override this.) So just set your 1080p monitor as the primary and you're done.
