Hi, I've been trying to set my resolution to 4096X2160 on windows 10 but it doesn't seem to fit the screen. It says native 3840X2160 and that works fine but since my tv and most games support 4096X2160 it should scale properly. I tried resizing the desktop display from the nvidia control panel and it seemed to work fine but then the native resolution automatically changes to 3808X2160. It also looks fine when I change the resolution to 4096X2160 in games. Resident evil 7 and Injustice 2 look great on it but I can't seem to change the native desktop resolution. Any idea on how to sort this or should I just leave it at 3840X2160. I'm using a sony xe90 4k tv and a gtx 1080ti card if that helps. I'm sure they both support the resolution I'm trying to use, thanks.

Because 4K is a dumbed down way of defining display resolutions.
Every standard - 2K, 4K, 8K is like this:
