4k on 16:10 1920x1200 ?

Are the black bars any worse than get with 720p or 1080p when 4k is downsized to a 16:10 1920x1200 ?

I was thinking of getting the above monitor and i wondered if 4k media playback would be any worse than 720p or 1080p.

I don't mind the black bars that you get with 720p or 1080p but i wouldn't want it any worse that you end up with a thin letterbox and thick black bars.

I do prefer 16:10 as a pc monitor rather than 16:9.
